Dr. Niemann was raised in La Canada Flintridge and is pleased to be serving patients in his hometown, joining the practice of his mentors from his days in training at the University of Southern California, Dr. Robert J. Lytle and Dr. John L. Lytle. He has degrees in both medicine and dentistry and his extensive surgical training included a general surgery certificate, as well as a 6-year postgraduate residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Prior to commencing his medical and oral surgery training and education, Dr. Niemann received his undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis with a degree in psychology, with an emphasis on cognitive neuroscience and psychobiology. He then attended the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, where he obtained his DDS, graduating with honors. During his time at Loma Linda, he participated in mobile clinics and outreach programs for the underserved areas of San Bernardino County.
Dr. Niemann is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Los Angeles Dental Society. He regularly participates in continuing education programs to remain at the leading edge of his specialty.
